Amazonia @ GWC

Because Boyboy woke so early today, he had an early nap. So Mummy thought we might as well go out and play, since if he stayed home he will get into trouble for being cranky. Not enough play to distract him at home :p

Hubby's friend recommended this place to us. Amazonia at top floor of Great World City (wah haven't been there in ages). Boyboy paid $20 for 2 hours of play (the minimum charge) as he is below 3 years old. Older kids pay $25.

This place has a separate play area for below-3s and above-3s. We brought Boyboy to the younger area to play, but it was over-run with bigger kids who were with their younger siblings. Very rough playing, such as diving into the ball pit when younger kids were inside. Mummy had to revert to her Mrs Low persona to scold and order some bigger kids to go away :p

But they kept coming, so Mummy gave up and brought Boyboy to the older-kid area, which was allowed with parental supervision. It was super chaotic! Being a Sunday, and as we later found out, there was a party being held there as well. Lots of angmoh kids dashing around. Mummy was trying VERY hard to not shout at them.

I was glad we moved there! Boyboy had lots of climbing exercise once the party started and most of the kids left. Good riddance! Mummy had to follow him.... and it was the best playground play I've ever had haha!!!

We climbed a 4-storey play gym thingy with tunnels and lots of padded stuff. I was so afraid that my weight would cause the tunnels to collapse in mid-air :p

It ends off with an enormously long slide (forgot to take pic) that Mummy was afraid of taking hahaa... but in the end I took it with Boyboy. Papa saw us having so much fun that he joined us for the 2nd round ;)

We had a great workout! We, as in the parents. Dripping with sweat, man! Boyboy was also panting haha. But he moves really fast... It was a challenge keeping up with him, but totally necessary to prevent him from accidental falls or other rough kids.

Will want to bring Boyboy there again on a weekday, where he can play in peace without worrying about other kids. He was telling me that he was afraid of the bigger kids zipping around :(

Membership is $75 per year, and entrance fee will be cut by $5. Don't think it'll be worth it for us to get the membership cos GWC is really too far to go on weekdays, when Chauffeur Papa's schedule is tighter. The ground situation on weekends is really quite dangerous, not enough staff eyes monitoring the kids.
