Never buy this!!!

This is Pigeon brand's Mag Mag cup with soft spout, meant for weaning 5-month-old babies from bottles.

We bought it for Boyboy as a transition to full cup drinking, especially needed in the middle of the night when he was still lying in bed to drink. At around $10 it seemed ok.

But! The spout has begun to disintegrate after about a month. Little nodules appear on its surface and it emits a strange rubber smell (it's supposed to be BPA free). We experimented; it wasn't due to washing with too-hot water.

Might be due to the fact thar Boyboy has almost all his milk teeth now and might be biting the spout when he drinks.

We have 3 such bottles to rotate. Each extra spout costs $5. At the current replacement rate, we're spending an additional $15 per month! So not worth it.

Scoured Kiddy Palace for another similar sippy cup that I can use to replace this, but to no avail.

Failed to find a short bottle with quantity markings that has a soft spout so Boyboy can control milk flow.

The closest alternatives use hard spouts that allow free flow; Boyboy chokes when he uses those.

They do come with no-spill inserts that make it necessary to suck before the milk flows. But Mummy actually bought and tried one, and the sucking has to be super hard! Too much effort needed to finish Boyboy's 6 oz of milk. Sucking so hard might make him choke as well.

So for the time being Papa's wallet is being held hostage by this little cup. Waiting for the day when the boy is better with cups, as well as stops waking up at night for milk...
