For once, he does not have to drag himself to playgroup or his Shichida class. Mummy was free too, as we were going to spend the day at Popo's so no need to be stuck to the stove to cook Boyboy's food, yeh!!!!!
Every day Boyboy looks out onto the main road junction and LRT tracks from our living room, and has been bemoaning that he wants to go ride a bus. So we did!
We stepped out in a slight drizzle and Mummy ran across the road with the giggling boy in my arms. He loves being carried by a running person ;) We took Bus 82 in a loop all the way to Punggol Beach (which is undergoing a hopefully exciting transformation) and back.
Then it was MRT time. Took the train up to Hougang and back. Once again, the boy started socializing and talking to the few other commuters in the carriage. Strangely, he spoke mostly to guys this time, when usually he is afraid of them. Maybe because it was not rush hour on a weekday, the men were friendly and responded to him.
| Just scolded him for trying to poke the uncle's waist to say hello -_-" |
We then took the LRT in its entire loop so Boyboy could see the area he lives in. Had a heart-attack moment on the escalator up in the station when he tried to turn around while standing. Usually I carry him but thought should teach him to be more independent. Guess I will still let him stand, but need to monitor very very closely. He also tends to jump off at the end instead of stepping :p
Then it was off to Popo's place, where Papa was on Election duty at the common pavilion. Boyboy was excited to see Papa but sad that he could not run over to say hi.
All the travelling tired him out, and lunch was a pain to feed. But Mummy feels it was worth it as the boy had fun :)))
